SPN Thanks for 15! Campaign

Supernatural has always been "the little show that could". It started its run in 2005 on a network that was in the process of being merged with another small network, and its ratings certainly couldn't rival the numbers that shows on more mainstream networks were receiving. Yet, despite a start that could doom lesser shows to extinction, Supernatural just kept chugging down the track, picking up viewers along the way. These viewers tuned in each week to join two brothers, played by the incomparable Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, as they went on a quest to find their father and to "kill as many evil sons of b**ches" as they could.

But the show wasn't just about hunting monsters and ganking ghosts. At its core, the show was about family. It was about loss, grief, sacrifice, and redemption. It explored the characters dark sides. It made us as viewers examine religion and acknowledge that grey area that exists between good and evil, right and wrong. It made us cry and laught uncontrollably - sometimes even in the same episode. It created a fandom, and somehow that fandom grew into something much more: a family of its own!

Over the years even the cast and crew of Supernatural came to think of us as family, and they have helped us accomplish great things! Through the SPN Family, we've met new friends, new partners, raised thousands upon thousands of dollars for charity, and even supported each other through times of crisis. We owe it all to a show that has become much more than just entertainment, and although it is now in its fifteenth and final season, the legacy it leaves behind will always endure.

None of these great things could have happened without the hard work and dedication of Supernatural's cast and crew, and we would like to thank them for giving us fifteen years of their lives and talent. After all, they are the very heart and soul of the SPN Family, and they have shown us so much love and support over the years that its time to give them some back!

On behalf of the fans, we would like to gift Jared, Jensen, and Misha with commemorative Wish Boxes containing messages from fans the world over. We are asking fans to contribute to this project by sending in their messages of love, support, congratulations, and memories to fill the boxes so that J2M can pull out a message when they are missing their SPN family, both in Vancouver and their extended SPN family, the fans.

We will also be holding a contest for original artwork that will be displayed inside the back of the box, so that as they pull out the messages it will slowly be revealed and it will create a piece of artwork to commemorate their time on the series. We think this would be a nice keepsake as well as a thoughtful reminder of how much the show has meant to them and to the fans as well.
